Dr. Ido Schechter is an accomplished technologist, agricultural innovator and executive. As the CEO of Peirot, he oversees the growth, strategic partnerships and long-term vision of the company. Prior to his role at Peirot, Ido served as the CEO of Agrinnovation, an investment fund that brought new agricultural inventions to market. Dr. Schechter’s extensive experience as a technology executive, investment fund manager and agribusiness developer will propel Peirot into the future.
Tal Bar-Dor is an experienced operations manager and director. Living and working in Brazil for the past 10 years, Tal has developed a strong connection to the local community. Overseeing the launch and improvement of new farms throughout the country, Tal gained hands-on experience running a successful agricultural enterprise. As the COO of Peirot, his love for the local community and innovative use of the latest agricultural technology is vital to our mission of scaling sustainable agriculture.
Gleise de Melo, a biologist with over 15 years of land development, agricultural and environmental expertise, drives Peirot’s sustainability initiatives. She implements impactful programs across projects and farms, ensuring environmental compliance. Gleise’s strength lies in her ability to build strategic partnerships with public bodies and companies. Her extensive network in agribusiness, research, civil society, and government allows Peirot to navigate industry complexities and secure collaborations that support its sustainability goals.
Rafael Marques Nascimento, a Forestry Engineer with a Master’s in Precision Agriculture and in Business Administration, brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as Operations Manager at Peirot. His extensive management experience in forestry and fruit growing fuels his focus on business expansion. Rafael champions innovation and strives for efficient, environmentally friendly processes. His leadership fosters continuous improvement, propelling Peirot towards a successful and sustainable future, all while ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.
Agricultural Engineer Sabrina Sampaio, a graduate of the Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz, supervises cocoa cultivation, application, and maintenance teams. She actively fosters positive team relationships and ensures all activities prioritize safety, quality, and efficiency. Sabrina finds it highly rewarding to be part of Peirot’s solid and promising growth.
Agronomic Engineer Erick Meira oversees pest, disease, and irrigation monitoring for cocoa and coconut cultivation at Peirot. His work is vital to ensuring healthy and robust crops. A graduate of the Universidade Federal do Oeste, Erick sees great development prospects for the region within Peirot.
Specializing in coconut cultivation, Jamison Moura is an experienced Agricultural Engineer with a master’s degree in Phytology. He brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge to help maximize the productivity and quality of coconut trees at Peirot. Utilizing the latest agronomic research and practices, Jamison contributes to the sustainable development of coconut production, helping the farm achieve exceptional results for crop yields while supporting the local environment.
A widely recognized expert in cacao farming, Tales Rocha is an Agricultural Engineer and the director and founder of TFR Consultoria Agrícola. Operating across 12 states in Brazil, Tales and TFR promote excellence in the development of technology and operational processes for cocoa cultivation at large scale. Their experience supports cultivating different varieties of cacao and ensures Peirot follows best practices in each stage of cultivation, from planting to harvest.
Professor Luis Fernando graduated from the Universidade Federal da Bahia as an Agricultural Engineer and continued to expand his knowledge, earning a master’s degree and doctorate in Irrigation from the Universidade de São Paulo. Professor Fernando’s scientific research is focused on water and soil engineering. He guides the irrigation management, fertigation and water need of crops at Peirot, which is vital in our semi-arid region.
