In February, Peirot was proud to attend the World Cocoa Foundation’s (WCF) Partnership Meeting in Amsterdam. The energy in the room was palpable, with 500 stakeholders from across the cocoa industry coming together to discuss the future of this vital sector.
As a sustainable cacao producer in Brazil, Peirot is deeply invested in creating a more equitable and thriving cocoa industry. We were particularly encouraged by President Chris Vincent’s closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of farmer voices and the need to translate passionate debates into real change.

Commitment to Sustainability
The WCF meeting offered a valuable platform for these challenges to be heard. It was also inspiring to hear about the industry’s commitment to sustainability. Peirot is a strong proponent of ethical and environmentally conscious practices. We believe that such an approach is not just the right thing to do, but also essential for the long-term health of the cocoa sector.
The road ahead requires innovation and forming partnerships to advance the cultivation of cacao. The collaborative spirit at the WCF meeting leaves us optimistic. By working together – farmers, processors, chocolate manufacturers, and consumers alike – we can create a future where delicious chocolate goes hand-in-hand with thriving cocoa communities and a sustainable environment.
Peirot is committed to playing our part. We’re excited to see the concrete actions that emerge from these discussions and translate them into real change on the ground. We believe that a better future for cocoa is within reach, and Peirot is proud to be part of the movement towards a more equitable and thriving cocoa sector.
On a final note, we were particularly thrilled to learn that the next WCF Partnership Meeting will be held in Brazil! As a Brazilian producer ourselves, we’re looking forward to welcoming the global cocoa community to our home country and showcasing the diversity and quality of Brazilian cacao.
